Die-Hards: Who Are Pitt’s Top Remaining Targets?

Published

on

With 14 commitments in the books, the scholarships that the Pitt football staff have to give out are starting to dwindle.

Although it’s just a guess, Pitt has between 6-8 scholarships left to use for this year’s class.

This is something that Pitt fans need to keep in mind, a player that had a committable offer a month or two weeks ago, doesn’t necessarily have one today. Every commitment that comes in affects Pitt’s recruiting board and the positions that they will be targeting in the future.

Although he might like to, Pat Narduzzi can’t overload at positions, meaning he can’t take commitments from four or five running backs. The staff goes in knowing how many players they can take at a position and once they fill that quota, that’s it. The bus is full and it’s time to move on.

It’s the time of the year where recruits must remember that for most players, scholarships come with an expiration date.

With TE/OL Jason Collier in the books, what’s next for Pitt’s Class of 2019?
