Pittsburgh Sports Now Adding Coverage of Duquesne Football and Duquesne Women’s Basketball

Three years ago at the start of Pittsburgh Sports Now, we stated our goal was to do our best to attempt to grow our coverage areas of the site.

Since then, we’ve started to cover Pitt wrestling, Pitt baseball, game coverage of Friday night WPIAL football and we’re happy to announce our expansion to another couple sports.

Duquesne basketball on Pittsburgh Sports Now is sponsored by The Summit Academy: setting young men on the path to a better future.

Setting young men on the path to a better future.

Thanks to the support we’ve received in advertising, PSN Die-Hard membership and our monthly traffic, Pittsburgh Sports Now is excited to announce that we will immediately start covering both Duquesne football and Duquesne women’s basketball full-time.

Dan Burt and Jerry Schmitt have the basketball and football programs on the rise and we’re looking forward to providing you coverage of both programs. By coverage we mean, PSN will report on all their games, have all their homes games staffed, will attend team practices during the week and report on recruiting news.

Duquesne's 2024 March Madness Tournament coverage is sponsored by Leon's Billiards & More, Moon Golf Club and Archie's on Carson! Their contributions have allowed us to cover the Dukes run in Omaha, Nebraska. We appreciate their support!

To assist us with this coverage, the site is happy to announce that we’ve added former Beaver Country Times and DK Pittsburgh Sports writer Chris Mueller to our team. Chris is someone that’s experienced covering the college scene in Pittsburgh and is a tremendous writer.

Adding full-time coverage of Duquesne football and Duquesne women’s basketball to go along with our existing coverage of  Duquesne basketball, Pitt football, Pitt basketball, Pitt wrestling and Pitt baseball just strengths Pittsburgh Sports Now as the leader of college sports coverage in Pittsburgh.
