Considering the careers that James Conner, Darrin Hall and Qadree Ollison and other backs have had, Pitt is quickly earning the nickname of “Running Back U.”

Other highly rated backs have noticed as 4-star recruits A.J. Davis and Mychale Salahuddin have committed to the Panthers in consecutive years.

Could another top back be joining this year’s class?

Tonight, 4-star running back Daniel Carter (St. Thomas Aquinas, Fort Lauderdale, Florida) announced that he’s down to a final two and it’s good news for Pat Narduzzi.

Carter (5-11, 185) announced on Twitter that his Final two teams are Pitt and Kansas State.

Aside from those schools, Carter also received offers from Auburn, Boston College, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan, Mississippi, Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia Tech and LSU.

Pitt is looking to add one more back to go along with Vincent Davis this year.

Charlie Partridge made a visit to see Carter during Pitt’s bye week two weeks ago.
