PITTSBURGH — College football coach is a year-round job, and so when one picks up and moves to a new job, they’re almost forced to hit the ground running.
That’s been the case for new Pitt offensive coordinator Mark Whipple and wide receivers coach Chris Beatty, who were hired in the midst of Pitt’s run-up to Wednesday’s signing day and the start of the open contact period for 2020 recruits.
Now, they’ll get a quick chance to reset before spring practices start next month.
