Jeff Capel was in attendance last night for a double-header of high school games at Fordham University. He obviously was impressed because afterwards he personally offered two players.
Yesterday, we told Die-Hard members that Capel was attending the CHSAA “AA” semifinal games between Stepinac vs. Cardinal Hayes and Christ The King vs. Bishop Loughlin and watching Julian and Justin Champagnie, RJ Davis, Adrian Griffin, Jaylen Murray and Moussa Cisse.
Following the game, Capel extended offers to Davis and Cisse.
Davis is a junior combo guard from Archbishop Stepinac that also holds offers from Illinois, LaSalle, Maryland, UMass, Penn State, Seton Hall, St. John’s, Fordham and George Washington. Capel has been watching Davis for the last year and actually was the first out of town recruiting trip that Capel made when taking over at Pitt.

Archbishop Stepinac is the high school that Pitt assistant Tim O’Toole attended. Expect Pitt coaches to make frequent trips there over the next couple of years because Pitt is also recruiting Davis teammate Adrian Griffin, who’s a 5-star recruit.
He’s 6-7 and just 15, but Adrian Griffin Jr. is making shots like this. My word.
The second offer went to Cisse, who’s also a 5-star player from Christ The King Regional. Cisse (7’0″, 200) is a sophomore center and many believe he has NBA talent. Currently, 247 Sports ranks Cisse as one of the Top 10 sophomores in the country. Last night, Cisse had a huge game scoring 22 points, 19 rebounds and recorded 9 blocked shots.
