Over the last few weeks, junior recruits have been in and out of Pitt’s South Side facility.

2020 defensive back Hunter Sellers was one of those visitors.

Sellers (6’0”, 180) is a 3-star recruit from College Park, Georgia. The versatile defensive back holds an impressive list of offers from schools such as Boston College, Duke, Indiana, Louisville, Maryland, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Purdue, Rutgers, Vanderbilt and Wisconsin.

Sellers is just one of many talented players that the Pitt staff, led by Archie Collins, is attempting to pry out of Georgia.

”I really enjoyed my visit,” said Sellers. “The campus and facilities really surprised me. I think it’s cool how they share facilities with the Steelers. I feel like that provides great opportunities to observe pro players along with many other things. I loved the environment and vibe that the team gave at practice. They flew around the field and had fun. Everything was high energy all practice long.”

Sellers is someone that’s been on Pitt’s radar for awhile, having offered him over a year ago. Coach Collins has been his main recruiter and someone he’s developed a solid relationship with.

“While there, I talked to most of the coaches and Coach Collins. He thinks that  I would fit extremely well within their system based on the type of coverages they like to play. They think I’d fit in really well at Pitt.”

Aside from Pitt, Sellers has also made recent visits to Purdue, Indiana and Wake Forest. Next week, he’ll be making a visit to Central Florida. The good news for Pitt, is that Sellers saw enough to probably make a return visit.

“I really liked Pitt and I’m pretty sure I’ll take another visit there, but as of right now I’d like to keep my options open.”
