**Pitt has hired Brady Hart as senior associated athletic director for development, athletic director Heather Lyke announced on Monday.

Hart will focus on fundraising at Pitt. He spent the last two years at UCF. Before that, Hart worked at Buffalo, Ohio State and Long Beach State. He played football at Yale and is a native of State College, Pa.

“The addition of Brady Hart to our administrative team will be a major asset for our development efforts as well as our athletics department as a whole,” Lyke said in a press release. “He has done outstanding work throughout his career and made a tremendous impact at UCF, where he helped that program truly maximize its recent successes. As a former student-athlete, Brady is very in tune to our student-athlete community and what they need to reach their highest academic and athletic goals. We welcome him to the university and I know he is very excited to get out and start meeting the passionate people of Pitt.”

**Former Thomas Jefferson and Michigan star Chase Winovich signs his first NFL contract.

**A couple of local players have picked up offers:

—West Allegheny 2020 quarterback Kam Kruze received an offer from Rhode Island, which was his first D-1 offer.

—Central Catholic 2020 offensive lineman Thomas Hartnett received an offer from Albany, his second D-1 offer.

**Pitt is recruiting a number of players in the New York area.

UPDATE (7:50 AM)-

**Baldwin sophomore DE Dorien Ford was one of many local players that attended Pitt’s prospect camp on Sunday. Ford, who already holds an offer from Pitt, will be one of the most heavily recruited players in the state for the Class of 2021.

UPDATE (7:45 AM)-

**2020 athlete Marcus Clarke (5’11”, 175) from Winter Park, Florida has Pitt as one of his Top 10 schools. In no order, Clarke lists Pitt, Louisville, Ole Miss, West Virginia, Florida State, Illinois, Northwestern, Tennessee, Stanford and Indiana.
