Where Do Pitt’s Top Targets in the Class of 2020 Rank

Many recruiting experts believe that the Class of 2020 is when Jeff Capel’s recruiting efforts will finally pay off.

While he was able to land difference-makers like Xavier Johnson and Trey McGowens last year, he’s fallen short in a few recruiting battles this year that have gotten some Panther fans to worry and wonder when he’s going to land those big recruits.

The answer to that question could very well come in this upcoming recruiting class.

As he’s done since getting hired at Pitt, Capel has gone “big game hunting”, meaning he’s attempting to out recruit the biggest programs in the country for top talent.

Unlike in the Classes of 2018 and 2019, the Pitt staff has been able to form real relationships and really recruit the players in the Class of 2020 for more than a year, which is very important.

On Wednesday, 247 Sports released a list of their Top 247 players in the Class of 2020 and it’s filled with players that have been offered by Capel.
