Pitt’s continuing search for big bodies in the recruiting class of 2019 seems to be coming to an end, as the Panthers are out on yet another prospect in this recruiting cycle.
According to Keenan Cummings of WVSports.com, Josaphat Bilau, a 6-foot-11, 235-pound power forward, has narrowed his list to Nevada, Wake Forest, West Virginia and Wichita State.
Bilau, a native of La Roche Sur Yon, France playing for SPIRE Academy in Geneva, Ohio, took an unofficial visit to Pitt, but the Panthers did not make his final cut.
He had plenty of offers before narrowing down his field, turning down scholarships from Georgia Tech, Georgetown, Illinois, Kansas State, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas Tech and Virginia Tech along with Pitt.
Jeff Capel has made two forward additions for 2019: 6-foot-8 freshman Karim Coulibaly, who has already enrolled at Pitt, and 6-foot-9 UNC Greensboro graduate transfer Eric Hamilton.
Pitt also has three other incoming players: 6-foot-2 junior college shooting guard Ryan Murphy and freshman wings Julian Champagnie and Gerald Drumgoole.
It does not appear that Capel has any more obvious forward targets for the Class of 2019 at this time, though he still has at least two more scholarships available.
