All 105 is a Pittsburgh Sports Now series profiling each of the 105 members of Pitt’s 2019 training camp roster.
10 • Will Gragg, redshirt senior tight end
Last year: Came to Pitt as a graduate transfer from Arkansas and was expected to make a push for a starting job, but didn’t make any starts despite playing in 13 games.
Stats: Finished with five catches for 31 yards to lead Pitt’s tight ends in both categories.
Accolades, Highlights:
Camp outlook: Nowhere is there more uncertainty during Pitt training camp this season than tight end, where Gragg will battle fellow returner Grant Carrigan, graduate transfer Nakia Griffin-Stewart and freshmen Jason Collier and Kyi Wright. Pass protection ability will be key as Pitt will be breaking in a new pair of tackles alongside whoever start at tight end.
Projected role: Gragg might have the most well-rounded skillset of the bunch and should be in line for a far larger role in Mark Whipple’s offense than he had a year ago.
