Pitt is in the Top 12 for 2020 forward Josh Hall, the four-star Durham, North Carolina prospect posted on Twitter on Friday.

The Panthers are in Hall’s final group, along with Alabama, Arkansas, DePaul, Florida State, Georgetown, Georgia, LSU, Louisville, NC State, Pitt, Texas, Western Kentucky.

A consensus four-star prospect, the 6-foot-9 Hall is rated as the No. 3 player in North Carolina, the No. 10 small forward in the country and No 41 overall player in the nation by 247 Sports composite.

Pitt head coach Jeff Capel extended an offer to Hall back in April.

“He told me that he’s turning the program around and that he wants to coach players who want to win,” Hall told PSN in April. “Also, that he’s very big on player development and that I remind him of some players he has recruited in the past.”

The Pitt staff reportedly checked in on Hall this Monday. It’s not clear if he plans on making a visit to Pitt at this point.

The Panthers have one 2020 frontcourt commit in the fold already, as 6-foot-7 Westtown School forward Noah Collier committed to the Panthers on Monday.

Capel and his staff are hosting two other forwards on campus this week: four-star John Hugley and three-star Ebenezer Dowouna. Pitt’s other top forward targets include Nigel John, Donovan Johnson and Cliff Omoruyi.
