For the third time this season, Pitt placekicker Alex Kessman has been named the ACC Specialist of the Week.

During Pitt’s season-ending victory over Georgia Tech, Kessman converted on all four of his field goal attempts, along with his two extra points.

Kessman finished the 2020 season with a team-high 100 points and 341 for his Pitt career, which allowed him to pass James Connor for 3rd place on Pitt’s all-time scoring list.

The senior from Michigan leads the ACC and ranks second nationally with an average of 2.09 field goals per game and is ninth nationally in total points.

While he hasn’t made it official, Kessman is expected to attempt to earn a spot in the NFL next season.
