On Thursday, five former WPIAL graduates and current NFL players announced that they will be teaming up to host a youth football camp in Pittsburgh this July.
Miles Sanders (Woodland Hills, Philadelphia Eagles), Damar Hamlin (Central Catholic, Buffalo Bills), Khaleke Hudson (McKeesport, Washington Football Team), Paris Ford (Steel Valley, Los Angeles Rams), and Kenny Robinson (Imani Christian, Carolina Panthers) have created the camp that is available to children ages 5-12. Sanders first announced the event via Thursday afternoon.
The camp is scheduled for July 2 at 10:15 A.M. on Chatham University’s UPMC Graham Field. It is free, but only 300 tickets will be distributed through registration. The link to the event can be found here.
Sanders has the most NFL experience of the five, entering his third season in the NFL with the Eagles. Hudson and Robinson each have just one year under their belt, with Robinson playing in the XFL prior to being drafted in 2020. Ford and Hamlin, both Pitt alumni, will each enter their rookie season, with Hamlin taken in the sixth round by the Bills and Ford signing with the Rams as an undrafted free agent.
