Jeff Capel Keeping an Eye on Stock-Rising Big Christ Essandoko

Published

on

Just over one month after offering big man Christ Essandoko, Jeff Capel is out on the road Saturday morning watching him play in person.

Essandoko is a 7-foot, 260-pound center in the class of 2022. The Paris, France native plays for Winston Salem Christian School in North Carolina, and has seen his stock blow up the past few weeks.

In recent weeks, he has picked up offers from NC State, West Virginia, Ohio State, Texas A&M, DePaul, and more. He has also taken visits from Maryland, Providence, NC State, and Wake Forest

“I can shoot,” Essandoko told Pittsburgh Sports Now. “I can still be more consistent shooting, so that’s what I’m working on this summer. On defense, I can block and alter shots, and can be a hard edge on ball screens.”
