Pitt Offers Second Forward of the Day, Ven-Allen Lubin

Published

on

On Sunday afternoon, shortly after offering Ryan Dunn, Jeff Capel and Pitt offered another small forward, Ven-Allen Lubin, out of the 2022 class.

Lubin is a 6-foot-8 forward who plays for Orlando Christian Prep in Orlando, Florida. He holds offers from West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Clemson, Alabama, Georgia Tech, St. Johns, and many more. According to the 247 Sports Composite, he is ranked as a three-star prospect and the No. 144 prospect in the nation.

Lubin spent this past weekend playing in the Adidas 3SSB circuit event, rising his stock each and every game, and picking up multiple offers along the way.

Pitt’s 2022 recruiting board stands around 60 players, after a few prospects that the staff had been recruiting recently committed to other schools and eliminated the Panthers from contention. Some examples of this were Noah Batchelor, who committed to Memphis, and Cam Whitmore, who left Pitt out of his top ten.

Capel is looking to add forwards like Lubin to play the 3-4 position in the future alongside current Pitt commit, combo guard Judah Mintz. Take a look at some of the rising senior’s highlights below.

Capel can make 50 offers a day and doesn’t have a prayer to close any of them.
