Recruiting a player doesn’t stop after you receive a verbal commitment—because it’s just words.

That verbal doesn’t become binding until a player is first permitted to sign a letter of intent in either December or February.

Until those two signing periods, coaches must continue to work on their relationship with that player in the hopes that he sees his verbal commitment through and signs that letter of intent.

Pat Narduzzi and his assistants realize this and it became even more clear after one of their 2022 commitments received a pretty big offer on Saturday.
