On Wednesday, Pitt announced that Jeff Capel had made another addition to his staff, hiring Jake Presutti as Assistant AD of Scouting.

“Jake has outstanding experience across several positions on a college basketball staff and is going to be a great addition to the culture we are building here at Pitt,” Capel said in a release. “We are fortunate to be in position to add another great resource to our program who will greatly aid our student-athletes and our staff in day-to-day preparation. With nearly a decade working on college, NBA and national team staffs, Jake has developed a great feel for carving out opportunities to help programs evolve. We look forward to having him on our staff and as part of the University of Pittsburgh community.”

Presutti is a native of Belmont, New York and played his college ball at Syracuse, beginning his career as a walk-on. In his coaching career, Presutti has made stops at Syracuse, Eastern Michigan, the Houston Rockets, Team USA, and most recently Marquette.

At Marquette, Presutti started as a video coordinator and then was elevated to director of basketball operations and later elevated to assistant coach.

Presutti joins Gilbert Brown and Kyle Cieplicki as staff additions this offseason, as Capel is really trying to make his coaching staff as strong as possible.
