Michigan State will be without their best player for the upcoming Peach Bowl against Pitt.
All-American running back Kenneth Walker announced that he will not play in the bowl game and will start preparations for the 2022 NFL Draft.
Walker transferred into the Spartans program from Wake Forest and transformed himself into one of the best running backs in college football.
After finishing the season with 1,636 yards rushing and 18 touchdowns, Walker was voted a unanimous All-American, becoming the first Michigan State player to achieve that feat since Darqueze Dennard in 2013.
Walker ranked second in the country with 136 yards rushing per game and rushed for over 100 yards eight times this season and went over 200 yards twice.
With Walker sitting out, the next question is whether Pitt quarterback Kenny Pickett will do the same thing. The answer to that should be revealed in the next day or two.
