Pitt’s question mark at quarterback for the 2022 season might have just turned into a strength.
Tuesday night, USC transfer Kedon Slovis announced that he was transferring to Pitt and will be immediately eligible for the upcoming season. Slovis arrives at Pitt with two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Back in 2019 as a true freshman, he stepped in for an injured JT Daniels and went on to throw for 3,502 yards, 30 touchdowns and was named PAC-12 Freshman of the Year.
During last season’s COVID year, in 6 games, Slovis passed for 1,921 yards, 17 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. That performance got him named to the PAC-12 First Team.
Despite that success, Slovis fell into a quarterback rotation this season with freshman Jaxon Dart and finished 2021 with 2,153 yards, 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
This is a huge development for the 2022 Pitt Panthers and their chances to compete again for an ACC Title.
Wow
That’s a huge addition
I guess we need to give an assist to Pitt WSOC head coach Randy Waldrum. Thanks for recruiting Kate McKay, this worked out great. H2P!
