Pitt’s next spring practice on Saturday will be closed to the media, but it will be viewed by a number of talented 2023 recruits.

Earlier this week, Pittsburgh Sports Now reported that four-star defensive end recruits Mason Robinson and Desmond Umeozulu will be in town for an unofficial visit, and they’ll be joined by another standout defensive lineman.

Class of 2023 three-star defensive tackle Isaiah Neal, from St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland, will make his second visit to check out the 2021 ACC Champions. Neal made his first visit to Pittsburgh last summer.

“I’ve decided to come back because the staff really makes me feel like this is a place I can spend the next 3-5 years,” Neal told PSN. “I’m looking to see pretty much how Coach P coaches his guys and see if I mesh with them.”

Neal (6-foot-3, 270 pounds) is rated by Rivals as one of the Top 10 juniors in the state of Maryland. Along with Pitt, Neal holds offers from Boston College, Duke, Louisville, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Ole Miss, NC State, Northwestern, Ohio State, Syracuse, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.

Pitt has been recruiting Neal for over a year, having officially extending an offer to him back in April of 2021 by Andre Powell.

“I love Pitt! They are definitely high on my recruitment list.”
