Duquesne sophomore center Mounir Hima has decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal.
The 6’11” 240-pound big man arrived at Duquesne from St. Benedict’s Prep School in New Jersey as part of their Class of 2020. Before choosing the Dukes, Hima held offers from VCU, Rhode Island, UMass, St. Bonaventure and Robert Morris.

In 21 games with Duquesne last season, Hima averaged 1.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.0 block in 9.6 minutes per game.
With Hima’s departure, Duquesne’s frontcourt now looks like Tre Williams (6’7″, 250), Kevin Easley (6’7″, 230), Abdou Barne (6’9″, 220), Austin Rotroff, David Dixon (6’9″, 215) and Matus Hronsky (6’8″, 200). Easley has entered his name into the 2022 NBA Draft but could choose to return to Duquesne.
PSN unofficially has Duquesne’s scholarship count right at 13, so anymore additions to the roster would have to result in another transfer.
Geez, take a step forward, and now one back. Cant get moving in a positive direction with this program
