Early 2023 NFL Mock Draft: Jordan Addison A First Round Pick

Published

on

Quarterback Kenny Pickett was selected in the 1st round of the 2022 NFL Draft and became the first Pitt player to be selected in the 1st round since Aaron Donald went to the St. Louis Rams in 2014.

It’s never too early to post a mock draft so this morning, Blake Brockermeyer from 247 Sports released his “Way Too Early 2023 NFL Mock Draft” and it included a Pitt Panther.

Brockermeyer forecasts Biletnikoff Award winner Jordan Addison being selected with the 17th selection by the New England Patriots.

Jordan Addison won the Biletnikoff in 2021 and looks to up his game even more in 2022. Addison has the versatility to play inside or out and is an excellent route runner who can dominate at every level of the field. Look for more attention headed his way in 2022, cause big time players make big time plays. The Patriots don’t have great luck with first-round wideouts but it’s time to get Mac Jones even more help.”

If Addison becomes a 1st round pick, it would be the first time Pitt has produced first round picks in consecutive NFL drafts since the 2007 and 2008 drafts when cornerback Darrelle Revis went to the New York Jets and offensive tackle Jeff Otah was selected by the Carolina Panthers.

I don’t know what I’m having for dinner tonight but some “expert” knows the Patriots are picking Addison #17.
