Following a Friday evening conversation with Jeff Capel, junior Kaden Cooper received an offer from the Pitt Panthers.
Cooper is a 6’6″, 175-pound forward from Ada High School in Ada, Ohio. Both Rivals and 247 Sports rate Cooper as a 3-star recruit with 20+ offers, including ones from Creighton, DePaul, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Kansas, Kansas State, LSU, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Rutgers, St. John’s, Syracuse, Texas, Texas Tech and Wake Forest.
Other teams that are showing interest but haven’t offered yet are Gonzaga, Butler, TCU, West Virginia, Oregon and Kentucky.
A short time ago, Cooper had just a handful of offers and was unranked but after some standout performances on the AAU Circuit with Team Trae Young, Cooper has become a household commodity among college coaches and will likely become a Top 150 recruit in the very near future.
With evaluating Cooper’s game, he’s a do it all player on both ends of the floor. He’s an elite defender, who can guard the oppositions one through four spots, is an effective rebounder, is aggressive getting to the rim on offense and brings tons of energy with him on the court.
Way too many Majors on that list for Capel to stand a chance.
