RMU Guard Jaron Williams Enters Transfer Portal

On Wednesday, Robert Morris guard Jaron Williams entered his name into the transfer portal after playing one year for the Colonials.

Williams, a 6-foot-6 guard, started 17 games for RMU this season, averaging 7 points and almost three rebounds per game. His best game of the year came early in the season against Ohio, when he hit 8 of his 11 field goals and dropped a season-high 19 points. After that game, Williams only surpassed ten points five times throughout the rest of the season.

Prior to his career in Moon, he played two seasons at the junior college level for College of Central Florida, as well as one season at UT-Martin. In his two seasons of Division-One ball, he has posted an average of 8.5 points per game on 46% shooting from the field, as well as 31% from three-point range.

Andy Toole’s program is looking to add two more players ahead of next season, as it already has 11 spots filled. Earlier this week, the Colonials added Winthrop transfer guard Josh Corbin.
