Robert Morris men’s basketball is starting to unpack its 2022-23 non-conference schedule.

RMU and Marshall have agreed to a home-and-home series spanning the next two seasons, according to college basketball analyst Rocco Miller.

The first game of the two-game set will be played at the UPMC Events Center this season. The Thundering Herd will host the Colonials during the 2023-24 college basketball campaign.

The two teams did not meet this past season but did meet the two years prior.

Marshall handled RMU 85-71 on December 20, 2020. It also defeated the Colonials 67-60 to begin RMU’s final year as a member of the Northeast Conference on November 7, 2019, a game in which former guard Josh Williams scored his 1,000th point.

Both games were played in Huntington, West Virginia at the Cam Henderson Center.

Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reported Friday that Robert Morris will travel to Dayton, Ohio to face the Flyers on November 19.

The Colonials are looking to take a step forward in their third year in the Horizon League. Andy Toole’s team finished the 2021-22 season 8-24 overall and 5-16 in conference play.

RMU struggled to play consistently during critical stretches of games and dropped multiple contests in the final minutes. Forward Kahliel Spear will once again be relied on to guide the Colonials on both ends of the floor.

RMU only won two of its 11 non-conference games, defeating Lancaster Bible and former NEC rival St. Francis.
