On Thursday, the Duquesne basketball staff extended an offer to Ace Buckner, one of the top guards in Ohio’s class of 2024.
Buckner is a 6-foot-2 guard out of Saint Ignatius High School in Ohio. In addition to Duquesne, Buckner holds offers from Kent State, George Mason, Albany, and Cleveland State.
Duquesne basketball on Pittsburgh Sports Now is sponsored by The Summit Academy: setting young men on the path to a better future.

Pittsburgh Sports Now scouted Buckner back in May at the PrepHoops Grit Memorial Classic in Columbus, Ohio.
Buckner is a crafty guard with a really smooth game especially around the rim. He is an acrobatic finisher but is a smart and calm player. Has the athleticism to rise above the rim and throw down slams when he has space in transition. Overall, a mature young guard with great ball skills and soft hands.
Buckner is the son of former NBA player and current Cleveland Cavaliers associate head coach Greg Buckner. He played his college ball at Clemson prior to appearing in 570 games in 10 seasons in the NBA.
