On Tuesday, the Duquesne basketball staff extended an offer to DeErick Barber Jr., a class-of-2025 point guard from Richmond Heights, Ohio.

Barber, a 5-foot-11 sophomore, told Pittsburgh Sports Now that he prides himself on his playmaking skills and his leadership abilities. He played for All Ohio Red and Ohio Rebels this past summer, blowing up onto the Division One recruiting scene. He competes for Richmond Heights High School during the school season.

Duquesne's 2024 March Madness Tournament coverage is sponsored by Leon's Billiards & More, Moon Golf Club and Archie's on Carson! Their contributions have allowed us to cover the Dukes run in Omaha, Nebraska. We appreciate their support!

Barber currently holds offers from Toledo, Arizona State, and Duquesne, and has also heard from San Jose State and Kent State. During his freshman season at Richmond Heights, the young guard shined, dishing out 144 assists through his first 18 games for an average of eight per game.
