With the WPIAL 2022 football champions being crowned over the last two weekends, winning the state championship is the next goal for teams still alive.
Pine-Richland took the first step towards that with an exciting win over Cathedral Prep, while the season has ended for North Allegheny, who dropped a 28-7 decision to State College.
Westinghouse continued their dominant season over the weekend with a 34-6 win over Farrell to reach the PIAA semifinal round.
