Pitt Football Extends Offer to 2023 3-Star Lineman Vincent Carroll-Jackson

A new name has been added to Pitt’s list of targets for its Class of 2023.

This morning, Pitt extended an offer to 2023 three-star offensive lineman/defensive lineman Vincent Carroll-Jackson.

Carroll-Jackson is a 6-foot-5, 280-pound offensive tackle/defensive tackle from Central Dauphin East High School in Harrisburg, Pa.

Carroll-Jackson is a player that’s currently receiving a lot of late interest, picking up 12 offers in the last two months. At this point, Carroll-Jackson lists offers from Akron, Buffalo, Central Michigan, UConn, Florida, Georgia, Kent State, New Hampshire, Ohio, Rhode Island, Rutgers, Syracuse and Youngstown State.

The offers from Georgia and Florida came over the last 3 days.

In terms of visits, prior to this Pitt offer, Carroll-Jackson made an official visit to Kent State and is scheduled to visit Buffalo this weekend and Rutgers the week after.

Pittsburgh Sports Now caught up with Carroll-Jackson for the reaction to the Pitt offer that he personally received from Pat Narduzzi and what’s next in his recruitment.

“Pitt said they really liked my tape and loved how explosive and aggressive I am coming off the ball on both sides of the line,” said Carroll-Jackson. “They also said they like me as an athlete for both sides of the ball.

“My reaction was astounded and grateful. I am always grateful for a team taking the time to invest in me and tell me that they see something in me. Pitt is recruiting me as a big athlete and think I would be a great fit to the program. They want me to come over and help win some games.”

With another Power Five offer and one from an in-state school, we asked Carroll-Jackson where his recruitment stood, and will he be visiting Pitt?

“My recruitment is still open to any and all schools. I do not know yet (visiting Pitt), just some things that I gotta figure out.”
