PSN has learned that Duquesne freshman guard Kareem Rozier will not be playing in this afternoon’s game against Winthrop.

Rozier, a freshman guard has been considered the leader of this year’s team, using his vocality to help push Duquesne forward.

He has played in all 12 previous games to date averaging 3.6 points and 2.3 assists per game, with 27 assists versus six turnovers in a reserve role this season.

Rozier’s injury is the latest in a run of setbacks for Duquesne players this season, with just six players on its roster competing in all 12 games and nearly a half dozen of those being held back from competing for a variety of reasons.

According to sources, this injury is not expected to be long term, which is good news as Atlantic 10 play starts Dec. 28 at Dayton.
