On Saturday, Pitt will host Brad Brownell’s Clemson Tigers at the Petersen Events Center in a matchup of the only two remaining unbeaten teams in the ACC.
With its win over Virginia Tech on Wednesday night, Clemson improved to 12-3 on the season and 4-0 in conference play. The Tigers, led by forward Hunter Tyson and guard Chase Hunter, are off to a tremendous start to the year and will look to continue their hot start on Saturday against the Panthers.
Pitt (11-4, 4-0 ACC) is off to its best start in ACC play since the 2013-14 season, when it started 4-0. That Panther team lost its next game, so if this team wins against the Tigers on Saturday, it will mark Pitt’s best start to league play since joining the conference.
The Panthers, have looked to several veterans — Blake Hinson, Jamarius Burton, Nelly Cummings, Nike Sibande, and Greg Elliott — for veteran leadership all season long en route to their 11-4 (4-0 ACC) record. Currently, Pitt is riding a five-game win streak and has won ten of its last 11 games.
Can’t lose this game.
Go PITT! 5 in a row.
