This weekend, Pitt will be hosting one of the most heavily recruited junior wide receivers in the country.

TJ Moore from Tampa Catholic High School in Tampa, Florida will be in town making an unofficial visit.

Currently, both 247Sports and Rivals.com list Moore as a three-star recruit, but that will no doubt change, as he currently holds over 40 offers. Tiquan Underwood and Pitt were the third Power Five school to extend Moore an offer and since then, his recruitment has skyrocketed over the last calendar year.

For example, Moore received offers today from Michigan and LSU and received a visit from Georgia head coach Kirby Smart. Some of Moore’s other offers include Cincinnati, Georgia, Notre Dame, Florida, USC, Ohio State, Clemson, Oregon, Alabama, Florida State, Miami, Oklahoma, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas A&M and West Virginia.

This will be Moore’s second visit to Pittsburgh in the last few months. Back in November, Moore made a game-day visit for Pitt’s game against Duke.

Prior to that visit, Moore talked to Pittsburgh Sports Now about his relationship with Underwood and Pitt.

“Pittsburgh is kind of familiar to me because I lived in Pennsylvania for a couple of years,” He said. “So, I have some type of connection up there and I knew when I got the offer that’d be an immediate option for me. My parents have a couple friends in Pittsburgh too, so that’s convenient for them. My relationship with Coach Underwood is really good. He checks up on me every day. Just that fact alone puts Pitt in my top options.”

Moore will be joined on this visit by another talented receiver from Florida and possibly a future teammate.

Pittsburgh Sports Now has learned that Pitt 2024 four-star commit wide receiver DayDay Farmer will also be at Pitt for an unofficial visit.

Whether it’s by coincidence or not, it would be beneficial to have both Moore and Farmer making a visit together.

Probably true, NIL runs NCAA Football (for now). This shouldn’t be a surprise and if pitt wants to take the next step they better figure this out.
