Pitt has now contacted plenty of different transfers in the portal over the past few weeks, with the latest being Marcus Domask, a 6-foot-6 wing out of Southern Illinois.
Domask, a Wisconsin native, told Pittsburgh Sports Now that the Panthers were one of many staffs to reach out since he entered the portal days ago on March 29. Domask played four seasons for the Salukis, averaging 15+ points per game in three of the four seasons and hitting 40+ three pointers in three of his four seasons as well.
This year, he scored a career-high 550 points, averaging a career-best 16.7 points per contest and hitting 35% (54 of 155) of his three-point tries. He also grabbed 5.8 rebounds per game and dished out an average of 3.8 assists, earning First Team All-MVC honors after this season. According to Jon Rothstein, Domask also heard from Wisconsin, Xavier, Clemson, Notre Dame, Cincinnati, and others. On Friday, he will take an official visit to Illinois.
Domask told PSN that he has not scheduled a visit to Pitt at this time.
The Panthers are currently hosting High Point transfer Zack Austin on an official visit and have contacted at least 17 other transfers since their season ended.
