**Pitt has extended an offer to 2025 cornerback Kaleb Lanier from Decatur, Georgia. Lanier received the offer from Archie Collins and holds other offers from Kentucky, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Temple, UAB and Appalachian State.

Update (2:03 PM)-

**The New York Jets may have signed former Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook to a 1-year deal, but Izzy Abanikanda is still turning heads this preseason.

Coming off perhaps the best performance by a running back in Week 1 of the preseason, Abanikanda turned a quick screen from Jets backup Zack Wilson into a long touchdown during camp Wednesday. He should still be in the Jets’ plans this season.

**PSN’s Dom Campbell reports that scouts from New England, Kansas City, Denver and the NY Jets were at Pitt practice this morning.
