PITTSBURGH — Pitt football captaincy is a democracy, and the players have spoken. David Green, Matt Goncalves and Shayne Simon have been announced as Pitt’s team captains for the 2023 season.
Pat Narduzzi announced the teams’ decisions at the Kickoff Luncheon Friday afternoon, and he spoke with members of the media about the three captains who will lead Pitt going forward.
Green, Goncalves and Simon also spoke with the media about what it means to be named captains and how they expect to lead Pitt football this season.
