Twitter Reaction to Pitt’s Season Opening Win Over Wofford

Pitt’s goals entering todays season opener against Wofford were to stay heathy, win without showing too much, get Phil Jurkovec comfortable but most importantly win.

Mission accomplished on all those fronts as the Panthers started the 2023 season with a 45-7 win over Wofford.

All in all, nothing much to complain about after game one.

I have no idea what to make of Pitt after that Wofford game. They may be really good but Wofford is a really bad FCS team so I have no idea what anything from that game means

Pretty seamless win today for Pitt. Some mishaps in the passing game up front and between QB/WR that I’m sure they’ll look to fix in the film room but hard to complain about how the running game or defense looked. Team used a healthy rotation as well. Very vanilla offense.

The goals were obvious: get Jurkovec's feet wet, boost his confidence & don't get anyone hurt.
