Twitter Reaction As Pitt Drowns In Renewal of River City Rivalry

Published

on

Pitt wasn’t tested in Week One as they took on Wofford but that changed today.  Tonight, the competition level improved and it was too much for Pitt as the Cincinnati Bearcats defeated the Panthers, 27-21

As you can guess, much of the criticism centers around the quarterback.

This kind of effort in the coming weeks and there is potential for a 4-8 season.

It’s Pitt. No one was watching and no one cares.

I was in State College watching the game and the crowd was actively rooting against Pitt. Don’t let them tell you they don’t care.

If the QB play doesn’t improve, I only see two possible wins. VT & BC. Two of the not so good teams of the ACC.

Slovis after 2 games against much tougher competition (WVU instead of Wofford) (Tennessee instead of Cincy), was 100 times better. I believe Slovis was the first Pitt QB EVER in his very first game to go over 300 yards passing. No he did go downhill after being concussed in a Tennessee brutal defensive blitz onslaught, as they knew if he had time, he was going to slice em up.
