MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A nightmare night has gotten even worse as Matt Goncalves has exited the game with an injury.
Goncalves was injured early in the fourth quarter and received some attention from the training staff before walking off the field. He was seen on cameras walking down the tunnel and pulling off the tape on his arms.
It’s been an awful night in Morgantown for Pitt football as Phil Jurkovec has struggled mightly, the offensive scheme has been erratic and a solid defensive performance is melting away as the fourth quarter wears on.
Jason Collier Jr. was inserted into the starting lineup for a seemingly injured BJ Williams in the pregame warmups, and the offensive line has been more effective tonight against WVU than it was last week. But an injury to Goncalves is a back-breaker.
It seems likely that Ryan Baer will get some action at tackle now with Goncalves out of the lineup.
Can Cignetti and Jerkoff join him?
Cignetti needs pink slipped on the ride home. Every team in FBS is running modern offense except Pitt. Jerkoff is a bum, even these announcers are clowning on him. The other transfer has future years of eligibility, time to use this year to get him ready.
Sad part is Narduzzi won’t fire Cignetti or bench jerkoff
To start the announcers were trying to be kind, but when it became obvious that Phil was having a very bad night, they pointed it out clearly.
Why is this clown still in at QB?
Aight guys I’m out. I’m sticking with volleyball and soccer now. I’ve this team doesn’t care than neither do I.
This team looks like a 1-11 squad these past two weeks. A 34% completion percentage is jr. high level.
