Zoo Crew has added another player to its roster for this summer’s The Basketball Tournament action.

The team has added Lamar Patterson to the squad. As a Panther, Patterson played in 149 career games across five years. He steadily improved each year, leading up to a breakout senior campaign. In that 2013-14 senior season, Patterson averaged a stellar 17.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game. He shot 44% from the field and 39% from three pointer, hitting 80 of his 206 three-point attempts.

Patterson was drafted in the 2nd round by the Milwaukee Bucks in 2014. He spent two years in the NBA, playing for the Atlanta Hawks from 2015-17. He played in 35 games as a rookie, averaging 2.4 points per game and shooting 35% from the field.

According to a release, Pitt’s Jamel Artis and Nike Sibande are also committed to playing for Zoo Crew.

Last year, Pitt lost to Marshall’s alumni team Herd That in the first round down in Wheeling, West Virginia. Zoo Crew looked to Sam Young, Jamel Artis, Nelly Cummings, Greg Elliott, Josh Newkirk, and others for production in the game.

Jamarius Burton was initially committed to play in this upcoming TBT but told PSN that he recently underwent shoulder surgery. Pitt lists him as questionable for the event. He played his first professional season with the Kortijk Spurs in Belgium.

Zoo Crew will host a regional this year from July 20-24 at the Petersen Events Center.
