WATCH: Pitt Finally Connects on Deep Ball Touchdown

Pitt wide receiver Bub Means.

BLACKSBURG, Va. — It may have taken four weeks and some change, but Pitt has finally connected on a legitimate big-play deep ball.

One play after Virginia Tech opened the scoring with a deep ball of its own, VT’s Da’Quan Felton beating M.J. Devonshire downfield for a 54-yard touchdown in stride, Jurkovec uncorked a deep ball of his own.

Bub Means hit a go-route right past VT’s Derrick Canteen and Mansoor Delane, caught the Jurkovec deep ball in stride and raced 75 yards to the end zone for a career-long reception.

It’s been a long season, even just through four games, for Jurkovec and Means, but that deep ball connection should give the pair confidence — as the deep ball synergy between the two has been a major topic for months and months.

Means had just six catches for 71 yards before that touchdown catch, and it could be the boost of confidence he needed to turn his season around.

Pitt and Virginia Tech, as of the 5 minute mark of the first quarter, are deadlocked at 7.

Then Jurkovec steps back incomplete, Jurkovec steps back incomplete, Jurkovec steps back incomplete, Jurkovec steps back incomplete, Jurkovec steps back incomplete, Jurkovec steps back incomplete, Jurkovec steps back incomplete, Jurkovec steps back incomplete.
Mr Magoo is more accurate and he can’t see!

Narduzzi left The D on the bus.

Mistake. Penalty. Mistake. Penalty
The team is poorly coached.
Narduzzi has peaked. Mid level success.
I hear Michigan State is hiring. I’m hopeful they consider Pat. And Frank.
I’ll continue watching at the risk of eye cancer.

The clown QB is currently 3/12 for 115 and 75 of that was 1 play. The guy is a bum and so is the OC.
