PITTSBURGH — Following Pitt’s win over Pitt-Johnstown (D2) in an exhibition on Wednesday night, Jeff Capel offered his condolences to the family of Bob Knight, the legendary college basketball coach who died earlier on Wednesday.
Capel opened his press conference by paying homage to Knight, who won 20 or more games in 29 different seasons, led Team USA to a Gold Medal, and won three National Championships as a coach. He coached Army, Indiana, and Texas Tech at the collegiate level.
