Pitt TE Gavin Bartholomew Leaves Game on Crutches

Published

on

Pitt tight end Gavin Bartholomew.

It’s been a disastrous second half for Pitt, giving away its halftime lead in a resounding fashion, and it’s gotten even worse.

Gavin Bartholomew appeared to pick up an injury in the aftermath of Christian Veilleux’s pick-six in the third quarter, needing medical attention in the end zone, and he would eventually leave the field at Yankee Stadium on crutches.

It’s been a tough day for Bartholomew, who did not receive a single target through three quarters at Yankee Stadium, as Pitt has completely collapsed offensively in the second half against the Orange.

As of the early fourth quarter, with Veilleux benched for Nate Yarnell, Pitt trails Syracuse 28-13 after holding a 13-7 halftime lead. The Panthers have turned the ball over three times in the second half — including the Veilleux pick-six.

It’s been a very tough day for the Panthers at Yankee Stadium.

Feel sorry for #86. He wasted all his talent at Pitt and was used as a blocker. F Narduzzi. F Cignetti.

That’s not all on Narduzzi, that’s mostly on F tard Cignetti, it will be interesting to see who gets fired when the season is over officially

Cignetti should be escorted out of the universities facilities. Permanently!

Hopefully nothing too serious and he heals quickly. But that was probably the last time he’ll wear a Pitt uniform. I can’t imagine and I hope he doesn’t stay at Pitt next season. Hopefully he finds a team that will value his talent and abilities.
