In the third quarter, the scoring got turned up a notch. The Bulldogs scored less than a minute into the half and then returned an interception to increase their lead even more. By the midway mark of the third quarter, the Bulldogs’ lead jumped to three possessions, 28-8.

Before the end of the third quarter, the Wildcats managed to score twice but the Bulldogs also tacked on another touchdown. After the first 36 minutes of play, the Bulldogs led by the score of 34-23.
