Sunday’s Best BetMGM Bets: Steelers-Bengals, Bills-Eagles, Sunday Night Football

Richie Rich's Winning Picks.

We got back on track yesterday with a 2-1 day, upping our record to 16-14. A late Michigan field goal helped our -3 bet go from being a push to a win. A Wolverine first down on that long drive would have resulted in a push, which would’ve voided the bet and you get the money.

Arizona did what and thought they would do as they blew out their rival Arizona St and easily covered -13. The Penguins were able to get the win over the Leafs but Sidney Crosby failed to score. The captain can’t score every night.

Today we have an action packed today in the NFL. Besides for my three picks in the NFL today, I do have some leans on the rest of the action at 1 pm and 4 pm. Look for the Jags and Saints to pick up big divisional wins today. Also, take Taysom Hill to score today at the Falcons. With Derek Carr banged up, look for the Saints to utilize Hill in the red zone. Hill has scored a touchdown in his last 4 games at Atlanta.

Though these teams have been uber bad this year, I like the Patriots and Panthers to cover in their respective games today. I also see a lot of points being scored in the Bucs/Colts today. In the 4 pm window, I like the Chiefs to get back on track and cover at the Raiders and the total to go Under in Browns/Broncos.

In college basketball today, I like FAU (-2.5)  to cover vs Virginia Tech and New Mexico St (+8.5) to cover on road at Louisville.

Now for the Winning Picks!

Pittsburgh Steelers (-2.5) at Cincinnati Bengals – O/U 36.5 – 1 pm on CBS

Ding dong the witch is dead. The Steelers finally fired offensive coordinator Matt Canada earlier this week after an abysmal showing of the offense at Cleveland. Now, the offense’s success solely rests on Kenny Pickett’s shoulders. Luckily, the Steelers catch another break with their opponent’s quarterback.

Former Washington Huskies QB Jake Browning will make his first ever NFL start vs Pittsburgh after star QB Joe Burrow went out for the season with a wrist injury against the Ravens. Browning was thrown into the fire after the Burrow injury and it did not go well. The undrafted QB was 8 of 15 for 68 yards and 1 touchdown in the relief appearance. He was also sacked 3 times.

Getting Browning instead of Burrow really helps the Steelers, and history is on the Black & Gold’s side. Since 1987, the Steelers are 11-1 against quarterbacks making their first career start. And without Tee Higgins, the Steelers will be able to double up Ja’Marr Chase.

Look for the Steelers to take advantage of Browning, possibly even a defensive touchdown. The offense, I hope, continues to run the ball at a high level and finally utilize the play action pass, a strength of Pickett. Look for Jaylen Warren to run wild again.

Buffalo Bills at Philadelphia Eagles (-3) – O/U 48.5 – 4:25 pm on CBS

To me, this is the let down spot of all let down spots for Philadelphia. After defeating their rival Cowboys two weeks before and avenging their Super Bowl loss to the Chiefs on MNF, the Eagles come home and face a Bills team looking to get back in the playoff hunt.

As many of the players and coaches have said, despite being 9-1 the Eagles have not played their best game yet. You can easily say they were more lucky than good when they beat the Chiefs, with drop balls by the Kansas City WRs helping the Eagles win.

With Buffalo, they need to get rolling now. The Bills fired OC Ken Dorsey before the Jets game and the offense looked much better. I think that trend can continue today vs the Eagles. Though the Bills are missing some pieces on defense, especially in the secondary, I think they have the firepower on offense to win this game. I believe Josh Allen will find the end zone through the air and on the ground, as will Jalen Hurts.

I think the Bills win outright today in a shootout in Philadelphia.

Baltimore Ravens (-3) at Los Angeles Chargers – O/U 48.5 – 8:20 pm on NBC

Something has to give for the Charges. Either they right the ship or they finally fire Brandon Stanley, which I think will happen at the end of the season. The Ravens, on the other hand, are looking to position themselves for the #1 seed in the AFC.

For this game, I can’t decide on a side but I do like the total to go Over in this game. I know how well Primetime games have gone to the Under, but these two offenses should go up and down the field against the opposing defense. I expect a lot of touchdowns in this one. Look for Isaiah Likely to get his first touchdown of the year replacing Mark Andrews and Odell Beckham to find the end zone again.

Root for points, points and points.
