One of the nine Pitt football players that made the decision to enter the transfer portal was long-snapper Byron Floyd.
Floyd, a fourth-year junior from Mentor, Ohio, has been the Panthers long snapper the past two seasons. Floyd arrived as a walk-on in the Class of 2020 and took over that position following the graduation of All-American Cal Adomitis.
From all accounts Floyd was doing a good job, as evidenced by being named a Pro Football Focus mid-season All-American honors this season.
The search for Floyd’s replacement is underway and we have a few names for you to keep an eye on.
