Since the departure of head coach Curt Cignetti, the James Madison is dealing with players transferring from the program.

Defensive lineman Mikail Kamara is one of those players and this morning, Kamara received an offer from Pat Narduzzi and Pitt. Kamara announced his decision on Saturday and has also received an opportunity from Cincinnati.

This past season, Kamara (6’0″, 265-pounds) finished with 51 tackles, 7.5 sacks, 4 forced fumbles. During his freshman season in 2022, Kamara made 14 tackles and collected 4.5 sacks and 1 forced fumble. It’s obvious, he has the ability to get to the quarterback.

Last week, Pitt also extended an offer to Penn grad transfer defensive lineman Joey Slackman and Middle Tennessee State transfer defensive lineman Marley Cook.

Following the graduation and transfers of Deandre Jules, Tyler Bentley, David Green, Devin Danielson and Nate Temple, Pitt will no doubt look to replenish their defensive line.
