WATCH: Pitt’s Reaction to 12-Point Comeback Against Wake Forest

PITTSBURGH – Pitt rebounded from being down 12 points in the second half to stun Wake Forest inside the Petersen Events Center. The Panthers (13-8, 4-6 ACC) played host to the Demon Deacons Wednesday night, looking to win their first conference game at home all season in five opportunities. Pitt finally got the job done.

The Demon Deacons (13-7, 5-3 ACC) led by 10 (37-27) at halftime and relinquished the lead with 6:58 remaining in the game. Pitt stormed back and secured a 77-72 win in front of the Panther faithful.

Head coach Jeff Capel, along with Bub Carrington and Ishmael Leggett, recapped the Panthers’ come-from-behind victory.

Coach Capel must have given a strong message at halftime, the players led by Blake decided it was time to start ballin!!! A motivated team made a great comeback & won with lots of determination. Will gave them a spark when Reid was dominating the paint & completely shut him down & decided to block him totally off the boards. A super effort vs the former Pitt recruit/commit (Reid) & the slam dunk play was the play of the game! Will needs to continue to step up his game & help Pitt get into the Big Dance!
