The Pitt coaching staff is multi-tasking these days.

Aside from starting their spring workouts, the coaches are busy recruiting prospective players and also hosting some on unofficial visits.

Some of that work might be paying off as a top recruit in the Class of 2025 has placed the Panthers in his group of finalists.

2025 4-star athlete Tony Williams decided to reduce his list of offers down to six schools that he’d like to focus on: Pitt, West Virginia, Florida State, Arkansas, Central Florida and Rutgers. Other Power Four schools that offered Williams include Penn State, Purdue, Mississippi State, Iowa, USC and Oregon.

Williams (6’2″, 190-pounds) is a star cornerback at Palm Beach Central High School in Wellington, Florida.

In the latest national rankings, Rivals lists Williams as the No. 11 cornerback in the Class of 2025 and one of the Top 40 prospects in the talent rich state of Florida.

Despite being from the Sunshine State, Williams has already made an unofficial visit to Pitt, which happened last summer on June 11th.

Pitt currently holds one commitment in their Class of 2025, 3-star defensive end Trevor Sommers from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
