Pitt to Honor Three Players on Men’s Basketball Senior Night

On Saturday Pitt will honor three players for its senior night celebrations before its game against NC State.
Pitt will honor Blake Hinson, Will Jeffress, and KJ Marshall for their time spent with the program, a source told Pittsburgh Sports Now. Hinson and Marshall are listed as seniors on the Panthers’ roster, but Jeffress is listed as a redshirt junior. However, the Erie, Pennsylvania native has spent four years with the program. He missed the entire 2022-23 season due to foot surgery and has come off the bench this year to average 1.6 points and 2 rebounds per game.
Hinson is the team’s undisputed leader on and off the court. He has been a dominant force on the floor this year, averaging a team-best 18.8 points per game and hitting43% of his three-point attempts. In Tuesday’s win over Florida State, Hinson set the Panthers’ program record for most three pointers in a season with 104.
Marshall is in his second stint with the program after spending time at the DII level with Mars Hill and playing JUCO ball for Garden City. He has played in 25 games in a Panther uniform across his career, scoring 12 points and dishing out three assists. Marshall has two buckets this season, a three pointer, and a mid-range step back jumper.
