News today on an injured Duquesne player that is unfortunate but not unexpected.
Prior to boarding the team bus and heading to Omaha, Nebraska, head coach Keith Dambrot announced that senior forward Tre Williams would not be available for the first-round game against BYU due to his shoulder injury.

Williams injured his left shoulder against Dayton in the Atlantic 10 tournament while attempting to block a shot. He then missed the championship game against St. Bonaventure.
At the time of the injury, Dambrot said Williams is a “tough kid”, but acknowledged that it would be an uphill battle for him to play in the championship game.
This becomes the second major injury this season for Williams, who back in November, missed a few weeks with a dislocated thumb.
This season, Williams played in 26 games while averaging 14 minutes, 3.6 points and 2.8 rebounds per game. Two years ago, Williams averaged 10.8 points and 5.7 rebounds per game.
Unlike in years past, Duquesne has been able to withstand injuries because of the quality depth they have in their front court with Jakub Necas, Fousseyni Drame, David Dixon, Matus Hronsky, Dusan Mahorcic, Andrei Savrasov and Halil Barre.
The Dukes first round matchup against BYU will tipoff at 12:40 PM and Duquesne is currently listed as an 9.5-point underdog.
His foul shooting won’t be missed
